Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs
Job Responsibilities:
Partners with sales team and leads the effort on all business communications with customers on quality topics.
Arranges audits or quality reviews at customer's request at their site or our site.
Works closely with Geismar plant QC team and with all 3rd party testing labs used by us in Europe (i.e., Crealis).Understands our end-to-end quality process related to bulk materials, blended materials, and packaged materials in the region.
Works with our ISC team and warehouse partners to understand sampling procedures and inventory management.
Runs our response to customer quality complaints in the region including:
(1) collecting customer VOC, (2) retained sample collection and testing, (3) locating C of A records, (4) determination of root cause, and (5) communicating corrective action plan.
Visits customer sites regularly to collect information and/or better understand how they handle and use our products.
Understands our manufacturing process well and can communicate it to customers as needed.
Works to continuously improve our quality system driving toward 0 PPM.Interacts with the HON vendor quality team and understands all aspects of audit plan for suppliers who ship to the region.
Ensures that our quality approach is in alignment with our IATA16949 certification and participates in the 16949 recertification efforts.
Interprets automotive standard requirements (VDA, IATA, ISO, SAE).Has a good understanding of ASHRAE, SAE testing protocols.
Experience/Education Required:
5 years minimum working in an automotive or other OEM quality environment (OEM/Tier1/Supplier).B.S.
in Chemistry or Engineering preferred.
Experience working within VDA, SAE, ASHRAE, IATA standards.
Track record of running successful supplier or customer audits.
Comfortable presenting complex issues and working through disputes with customers.
Able to work effectively remotely.
Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt preferred.
