This company offers best-in-class tools for Document Management, Quality Management, Handover Management, and Asset Management, and has digitised millions of building documents and assets across the UK and Ireland. As the company continues to expand, they are seeking an Android Developer to join their dynamic team, contributing to their innovative products.
The Role
As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing new features and maintaining the existing Android application (written in Kotlin). You will also have the opportunity to contribute to web-based projects using ReactJS, if desired. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain new features for the Android application (using Kotlin).
* Identify and resolve performance issues within the app.
* Follow coding standards and write clean, maintainable code.
* Write technical documentation for the codebase.
* Contribute to ReactJS development when required (desirable).
Key Requirements
* Minimum of four years of professional experience in Android development, or equivalent experience in another language.
* Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Gradle, Android Studio, and Android SDK.
* Strong problem-solving aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
* Confident in working independently on your own codebase.
* Experience working with git version control.
* Familiarity with SOLID design principles.
* Near-native proficiency in English.
* Willingness to travel to London once per quarter.
* Experience with ReactJS (or similar) for web project contributions.
* At least one year of experience working in a SCRUM team.
* Comfort working with Kotlin and familiarity with additional languages like React, PHP, or Swift.
* Experience with SQLite or PostgreSQL databases.
* Comfortable working in a Linux terminal.
* Experience writing automated tests.
* Willingness to work with new technologies as required.
* Based in Ireland with the ability to attend the Dublin office as needed.
* Passion for contributing to a positive team environment through knowledge-sharing and support.
