Our client is a leading innovator in the plastics recycling industry, committed to advancing sustainability and environmental responsibility. Based in Meath, they are seeking a skilled Customs and Supply Chain Executive to oversee import and export activities and ensure compliance with Customs Regulations.
This position involves preparing accurate customs documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, monitoring shipments, and providing support to both the supply chain and procurement teams.
Permanent position, Fully onsite for first 6-months, 1-2 days WFH thereafter, Flexible working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and process import/export documentation in line with customs regulations.
2. Ensure all customs activities comply with both local and international regulations.
3. Communicate with customs authorities and clients to resolve customs clearance issues.
4. Classify goods accurately using the tariff coding system.
5. Track shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.
6. Maintain records and prepare regular reports on customs activities.
7. Address and resolve any issues or delays in customs clearance.
8. Assist the supply chain team with day-to-day tasks as required.
9. Provide support to the procurement department as needed.
Skills and Experience required:
1. 2-3 years’ experience in customs clearance or freight forwarding.
2. Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures.
3. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
4. High level of accuracy in all documentation.
5. Effective problem-solving skills for addressing clearance issues.
6. Familiarity with Thyme IT system is an advantage.
