Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM Civil are looking to recruit experienced and motivated Commercial Manager to join our existing team, delivering large civil engineering projects across Munster and south Leinster regions.
The projects are predominantly within the transport infrastructure sector.
Your mission As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the following: • Maintain effective communications with the Commercial Director, Construction Director, project management and other associated disciplines and enhance the profile of commercial team within the project management team • Be responsible for the commercial management of a project or projects including management of accounts with our Clients, and supervision of management of accounts with our supply chain partners • Be responsible for staff matters which may include staff succession awareness, recruitment, development, attitude and behavioural issues, competency and retainment issues, staff allocation • Provide commercial contact with supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting and input to subcontract documents • Ensure audits are carried out and feedback is provided to the business • Provide commercial input to contacts with clients, and if necessary, client's representatives • Provide commercial advice to the site team in connection with all project issues and provide input to area commercial discussions / reviews • Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy • Ensure the production of monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts and company tied costs.
Obtain cash-flow information and present all reports • Provide input to dispute identification, avoidance and management • Produce and negotiate insurance claims with insurer's representatives • Agree terms and engage legal and commercial consultants and monitor their accounts • Maintain contact with supply chain partners through contract vetting and input to contract documentation • Carry out sub-contract document vetting and input to sub-contract documentation Who are we looking for?
• Successful experience as a Commercial Manager working with multiple projects.
• Member of a Professional Institution or working towards application of Registration of title and or Chartership, or similar • Open collaborative approach and willing to help and assist those around you • Knowledge and experience in PWC, NEC and FIDIC or similar forms of contract • Educated to Degree level in a relevant Commercial, Construction or Project Management qualification What's in it for you?
