WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE
The Maintenance Technician role is essential for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of Ornua's operations. By maintaining and optimizing equipment, you help minimize downtime and ensure smooth production processes. Your proactive participation in the Health & Safety system contributes to a safe working environment, which is crucial for both employee well-being and operational success. Additionally, your involvement in continuous improvement initiatives drives innovation and enhances overall performance. Ensuring compliance with technical and food hygiene standards guarantees that our products meet the highest quality and safety standards, maintaining customer trust and satisfaction.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
* Support the H&S system within Ornua through your proactive participation and involvement.
* Responsible for asset performance & maintenance.
* Complete all preventative and reactive tasks assigned by the Engineering Lead.
* Proactively work with the operational and engineering teams to ensure site KPIs are achieved.
* Manage and execute assigned projects.
* Drive and Support Continuous Improvement program.
* Be a proactive member of the Ornua site engineering team.
* Proactively participate in the Company’s Employee Development and performance management program.
* Participate in any training program you are assigned and value adding task assigned out of each training session.
* Ensure full compliance with technical and food hygiene standards to ensure product meets all appropriate quality and safety standards.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
* A recognized Electrical or Mechanical Qualification.
* Previous experience working in a high-speed facility, and a good working knowledge of Packaging Machines would be desirable.
* Experience in Automation would be desirable – Siemens PLCs.
* HMI & SCADA systems.
* Instrumentation.
* Process control - pumps, process control valves, instruments.
* The ability to work well individually and integrate well with cross functional teams.
* Flexibility to work on varying shift patterns.
* Ability to work to deadlines and work under pressure.
