Job Title: Finance Operations Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Operations Specialist to join our centralised Finance Operations function. This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a large finance team in the Accounting & Reporting area, responsible for financial accounting and treasury accounting for the ESB Group and its Business Units.
Key Responsibilities:
* Period close, consolidation and reconciliation activities at Group and Business Unit level.
* Preparation of annual statutory financial statements and ESB Group annual and interim report.
* Co-ordination of the annual audit process, engagement with external auditors and delivery of outputs to key internal and external stakeholders as required.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and customers including corporate teams, financial planning & analysis team, business units and external auditors.
* Partnering with the Business on accounting related matters.
* Providing technical accounting support to Corporate and Business Units.
* Monitoring accounting (IFRS), technical and commercial developments and advising on their impact on the financial close of the Group.
* Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and various projects within the Accounting & Reporting function.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Newly qualified/1+ year PQE with recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA).
* High level of technical accounting competency and strong analytical skills.
* Highly motivated – able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong IT skills - knowledge of SAP/S4 Hana would be preferable.

This position will be based in ESB's Head Office at Fitzwilliam 27, Dublin 2.
