Beech Lodge Care Facility is looking for a candidate who will work three days as a kitchen assistant and two days as a commis chef.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist in the preparation and service of all meals and beverages for residents, visitors, and staff to the required company standards.
2. Preparation of resident trays and dining areas ensuring that the necessary equipment, utensils, and food is available in the required quantities and at the required time.
3. Clear and clean kitchen, dining areas, and catering utensils using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment as directed by the Chef Manager.
4. Advise residents on menu choice to give maximum choice.
5. Adhere to good practice with regard to hygiene, health and safety, HACCP, and COSHH Regulation at all times, meeting all legislative requirements.
6. Assist with record keeping as directed by the Chef Manager.
7. Carry out other duties as directed by the Chef Manager.
Qualifications / Skills Needed
1. Minimum 1 year experience working in kitchen/catering.
2. HACCP trained.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Must be reliable & keep to schedule.
5. Can work as part of a team.
6. Fluent level of English both written and oral.
Job Type: Full-time/Part-Time
Pay: From €12.70 per hour
Expected Hours: 39 per week
