We are currently representing a leading business advisory and accountancy firm in Dublin. Due to their continued growth and expansion in the audit department, we are seeking to recruit an Audit Senior on their behalf.
The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in the delivery of audit assignments, ensuring the successful completion of fieldwork, final accounts, and audit reports within stipulated timeframes. They will also be responsible for guiding and supervising junior auditors during their assignments.
Your Role
1. Lead a diverse range of audit assignments.
2. Ensure thorough planning of audit assignments and pre-briefing of staff on assignment-specific risks.
3. Draft high-quality financial statements and audit reports, complete with practical recommendations to address identified risk issues and control weaknesses, supported by clear rationale.
4. Simultaneously manage multiple audit assignments, optimising time and resource allocation.
5. Keep the Partner appropriately informed regarding significant issues in ongoing work.
6. Deliver audit assignments to the highest quality standards, ensuring adherence to FRS102 and Irish GAAP, effective handling of key risks, and compliance with set timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
7. Manage the day-to-day supervision, on-the-job training, and mentoring of junior staff assigned to audit projects, actively participating in all Performance Management initiatives as required.
Your Skills
1. Qualified accountant with 0-2 years PQE.
2. Strong understanding of risk, Irish GAAP, FRS102, and CA2014, with awareness of current industry issues.
3. Strong knowledge of developing audit strategies and Terms of Engagement for individual engagements.
4. Proven ability to work with diverse clients across multiple sectors.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
