Vickerstock is delighted to be working in partnership with our Food Manufacturing client whose aim is to create food ranges that bring bespoke experiences and deliver exquisite artisan bakery and food to go products to their customers with the appointment of a Quality Compliance Manager.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will have responsibility for a small team, ensuring ongoing compliance with food safety, quality, legality and authenticity on site.
Responsibilities:
* Management and delivery of BRCGS and customer requirements by ensuring effective systems and procedures are in place and kept up to date with regards to NPD Trials, product launches, HACCP reviews, product specifications, sampling, testing, packaging approval, and product labelling.
* Maintain site food safety, quality, authenticity and legal requirements and Quality Management Systems.
* Participation in site risk assessments to ensure they are completed for all tasks that may have an impact on site security, vulnerability and food safety, quality, authenticity and legality.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years relevant management experience in a Technical or Quality Assurance role, gained in a food manufacturing environment.
* Good working knowledge of BRCGS standard.
* Demonstrate sound technical auditing skills.
* Experience in HACCP, VACCP, TACCP & Quality Management systems.
Desirable Criteria:
* 3rd level Qualification in Food related discipline.
* Train the trainer qualification.
* HACCP Qualification Level 3 or above.
* Food Safety Certificate.
* Previous experience in dealing with customers.
* Allergen training.
* Working knowledge of retailer standards and audits.
* Knowledge of the bakery industry.
