Job Summary
Reporting to the appropriate campus leader, the Administrative Assistant position is responsible for providing routine clerical, administrative, and project support to their assigned department(s). This position may serve as the primary point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external constituencies. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Essential Performance Requirements*
1. Provides clerical/secretarial support
2. Performs basic administrative procedures
3. Performs basic, unit-specific tasks
4. Maintains unit records
5. Answers phones and runs front desk
6. Schedules appointments and maintains calendars
7. Distributes and sends mail
8. Prepares and creates memos, emails, invoices, etc.
9. Performs assigned duties
Service Excellence
10. Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
11. Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC) Institute
12. Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of assigned department leadership

Required Minimum Qualifications
13. High School diploma or GED
14. Two (2) years’ of working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
15. Associate’s degree
16. At least one (1) year’s working experience in a college or university setting related to the Essential Performance Requirements
17. At least one year’s working experience in aviation, welding, professional pilot, and non-destructive testing
18. At least one (1) year’s working experience performing data entry using Excel
19. At least one (1) year’s working experience in customer service

20. Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
21. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
22. Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
23. Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
