Arch Insurance (EU) dac (“AIEU”) is part of Arch Insurance International and provides comprehensive insurance products including credit insurance, motor insurance and specialty property & casualty (“P&C”) insurance business.The company is based in Dublin with branch offices in the UK and select EU locations. AIEU is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arch Capital Group Ltd. The company was formed and is authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland to write all classes of business (excluding Class 18).The main purpose of the role is to ensure the operation of an effective and robust enterprise risk management framework by partnering with a number of first line functions to:Contribute to the continuous development of the Risk Management Framework.Provide value adding insight and analysis of the risks impacting the company.This role is based in Dublin, and the role holder may be required to visit other Arch offices from time to time.ResponsibilitiesRisk Strategy and Risk AppetiteSupport the development of the risk strategy and the risk appetite framework, including developing KRIs to measure the level of risk.Risk Management FrameworkTake a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Risk Management Framework.Provide oversight and challenge on the management of risks.Support stakeholders in identifying risks and facilitate risk and control self-assessments.Assist with the investigation and remediation of risk events.Undertake the control validation process.Appropriately escalate relevant risk issues and work to support remediation.Work with the Risk Management team to ensure the Framework stays up to date and reflects evolving best practice.Ensure the framework remains compliant with relevant regulation and legislation.Enhance the framework to ensure it remains complete, consistent and is well-embedded.Support the stress and scenario testing and emerging risks processes.Draft risk policies and communicate these to stakeholders.Work with business functions and the Risk Management team to contribute the ‘risk view’ for key projects.Conduct Risk Reviews of functional areas and thematic topics.Support the operation of the climate risk and ESG frameworks.Work with the operational resilience team to ensure the frameworks operate in tandem.Risk ReportingTake responsibility for preparing risk and control information for internal and external audiences including relevant Committees and Boards.Develop, maintain and embed risk and control reporting with internal stakeholders.Contribute to the completion of the annual ORSA reports.Attend and present at relevant Working Groups and Committees.Risk TrainingWork with the wider Management team to enhance AIEU’s risk management training.Provide risk management training, and ongoing support, to stakeholders.Do you like solving complex business problems, working with talented colleagues and have an innovative mindset?
