Job Title: Staff Grade Psychologist CDNT
Location: Louth
Salary: Competitive, in line with HSE pay scales
Working Hours: Full Time/Part time Monday – Friday
Contract: 6 months with option to extend
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Grade Psychologist to join their multidisciplinary Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT). This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children with disabilities and their families by providing high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct psychological assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for children with a range of disabilities.
2. Collaborate with other members of the CDNT, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to deliver integrated care.
3. Provide consultation and training to other professionals, parents, and caregivers to support the psychological well-being of children within the network.
4. Engage in evidence-based practice, ensuring that all interventions are grounded in the latest research and best practices in the field of child psychology.
5. Maintain accurate and timely records of all assessments, interventions, and consultations in line with professional and organizational standards.
6. Participate in ongoing professional development, supervision, and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
7. Contribute to service development initiatives aimed at improving the delivery of psychological services within the CDNT.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. A degree or masters in Psychology, with eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
2. Completed or working towards a professional qualification in Clinical, Educational, or Counseling Psychology.
3. Experience working with children with disabilities and their families is highly desirable.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
5. A commitment to continuous professional development and a proactive approach to learning.
6. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks governing services for children with disabilities.
