Business Service Manager (Assistant Principal)
The Garda Occupational Health Service (GOHS) is seeking a Business Service Manager to further develop, implement, manage and monitor the business administration function of the Occupational Health Service.
Key Responsibilities
* Taking charge of the business administration function of the Occupational Health Service under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), including Regional Occupational Health Hubs.
* Providing administrative leadership and direction for management and staff attached to the Occupational Health Service, including Regional Health Hubs.
* Driving and continuously improving data and information management processes.
* Reviewing existing operations processes and business processes to identify areas for improvement and/or training to deliver a best-in-class service.
* Developing the Business Plan of the Service to expand the range of services and supports for delivery to 21,000 employees.
* Managing the Services' allocated budget in accordance with Garda financial management protocols and ensuring best value for public money.
* Actively planning and managing resource allocation to ensure timely achievement of the Services' goals and priorities.
* Leading and managing a team and establishing close working relationships with colleagues across the service, including clinical professionals, regional teams and business service functions.
* Designing and leading the implementation of a customer service action plan to make GOHS a Centre of Excellence for the delivery of Occupational Health and Wellbeing.
* Engaging with Occupational Health Networks and public sector-wide groups.

This role is part of An Garda Síochána's ongoing transformation programme, responding to the expansion of our services to support the health and wellbeing of approximately 18,000 Garda personnel.
