Your Role
You will play a key role in shaping the future of U.S. News by helping us thrive. As a Product Manager for Credit, you will be responsible for managing, innovating, and enhancing the Credit products under the Money vertical by understanding user needs and contributing to the product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partner with the Director of Product Management for the Money division to drive strategic growth.
2. Contribute to creating and managing a strategic roadmap that balances user needs, business goals, and company objectives.
3. Oversee existing products and define new features based on consumer feedback, validating customer use cases for current and planned offerings.
4. Identify areas for improvement and iterate quickly and efficiently.
5. Manage multiple streams of discovery and analysis, balancing speed and precision.
6. Conduct extensive primary user/customer research and secondary market research to inform user journeys.
7. Evaluate product requirements to ensure they are thorough, testable, and visually successful.
8. Gather insights to form hypotheses and measure results for consumer/customer success metrics.
9. Gain in-depth knowledge of products and their impact on adjacent and non-adjacent products.
10. Collaborate with team members to deliver user requirements and foster opportunities between teams.
Position Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
* Three to five years of experience in product management, preferably in the financial industry.
* A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
* Experience in project management and stakeholder management.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* The ability to understand user needs and mindsets.
* Detailed-oriented time management skills.
* Interpersonal communications and problem-solving ability.
* Familiarity with Agile scrum workflow and the Product Owner role.
It would be beneficial if you had:
* Experience with JIRA, Airtable, Confluence, or other product development tracking tools.
* Experience conducting and actioning user research and testing.
* Experience with consumer-facing websites.
* An understanding of SEO.
