My client a Commercial Semi-State body have an immediate requirement for a Property Management Accountant to join their team, hybrid working hours
Role Purpose
This is a new role to reflect the growing Asset Management function within a rapidly expanding organization. Reporting to the Management Accountant, the role involves a broad range of management accounting and reporting responsibilities. The role provides the successful candidate with an opportunity to join a growing team in a dynamic environment with scope for development as the organisation evolves.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in preparation of annual budgets for cost rental portfolio and asset management department.
2. Analyse monthly financial and data reports prepared by Lettings Agents and Block Management Agents. Collate into overall portfolio performance report.
3. Variance analysis v budget.
4. Monitor KPIs including occupancy, arrears and operating expenses.
5. Benchmark operating costs across the portfolio to identify efficiencies.
6. Prepare EMT reports monthly including narrative.
7. Responsible for the administration of purchase orders and invoices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
8. Assist Procurement and Accounts Payable teams to resolve queries on PO's and invoices.
9. Analysing data from external stakeholders and collating into portfolio performance reports.
10. Preparing weekly/monthly reports for internal meetings and project reviews as required.
11. Identify efficiencies in department processes and implement same.
12. Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
13. Other duties as may be required based on the evolving operational requirements of the business.
Person Specification
14. Minimum 2 years' Property Management Accounts experience.
15. Experience using property related IT systems and reports.
16. Knowledge and/or experience of public procurement would be an advantage.
17. Solutions and results focused.
18. Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
19. Excellent communication skills – written and verbal in both day-to-day work as well as formal briefings.
20. Ability to work well within a team environment.
