Overview
The post of Clinical Nurse Manager III is a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are: quality assurance, people management, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership. The Clinical Nurse Manager III will deliver care in line with the five core concepts of the role set out in the Framework for the Establishment of Clinical Nurse/Midwife Specialist Posts, 4th edition, National Council for the Professional Development of Nursing and Midwifery (NCNM) 2008. This campaign is for internal staff members to Connolly Hospital only.
Essential Criteria
Candidates must, at the latest date for receipt of completed applications for the post possess: Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: Are registered in the General division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) or entitled to be so registered. And Have at least 5 years post registration experience – two of which must be at CNM level And Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development. And Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. Annual registration (i) Practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
