Senior Medical Officer · 1.0WTE · Indefinite duration contract · H.S.E.
funded · Based in Harold's Cross The post holder will provide a high-quality medical service to the Older Persons Service in OLH&CS including the Extended Care Unit (ECU), Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU).
The post holder will also provide clinical cover for onsite Integrated Care Programme for Older People (ICPOP) service as and when required.
ECU is a HIQA registered nursing home facility providing speciality care for older adults aged over 65 years with complex care needs including dementia, frailty and complex multimorbidity Residents are either Nursing Home Support Scheme (Fair Deal) or supportive care patients who have complex care needs approaching end of life.
CRU is an 18-bed specialist rehabilitation unit catering for older community dwellers who are admitted for specialist multidisciplinary rehabilitation programme.
Essential Requirements Qualifications: · Full registration in the General registrar of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Irish Medical Council.
Experience: · Have a minimum of 5 years' satisfactory post-qualification experience in the medical profession.
Clinical experience in Medicine for Older Person or Palliative Care
Desirable Requirements Qualifications: · Possession of one of the following - Diploma in Medicine for Older Person or MICGP/MRCGP/MRCPI
