Job Title: Full Time Environmental Officer
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Environmental Officer to join our team at Enviro Grind Ltd, a cross-border Environmental Reprocessing company based in Pettigo.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with our certifications, permits, and licence requirements, specifically NSAI ISO certifications - ISO 14001 Environment, ISO 9001 Quality, and ISO 45001 Health & Safety. This includes preparing for regular NSAI audits.
The role also involves:
* Monitoring and maintaining BSIPAS 100:2018 certification for Composted Materials
* Managing Waste Facility & Collection Permits and Composting Approval
* Performing internal audits and using our integrated management system to review, monitor, update, and implement Environmental, Quality, and Health & Safety policy, procedures, and processes
* Liaising with external Environmental and Health & Safety Consultants and other regulatory authorities
* Creating and maintaining environmental reports as required by the management system and for auditing and annual return purposes
* Delivering training programmes such as Health & Safety inductions for new employees or sub-contractors working on site, refresher training, safety meetings, and toolbox talks, and arranging external training where required
* Maintaining training records
* Monitoring the use of PPE and ensuring all equipment is calibrated and tested as required
* Conducting site inspections according to the Health & Safety Inspection Plan, preparing relevant reports, and closing out with corrective actions
* Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements as required
* Investigating accidents/incidents and reporting to Manager
* Flexibility to work on company projects as required
Essential Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
* Good knowledge and understanding of Environmental legislation
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to learn quickly and master new systems and processes to collaborate with other departments
* Excellent organisation, communication, and accuracy skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work both within a team and on own initiative
* Ability to meet strict deadlines
* Full Clean driving licence
