Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Cypress SME with 4+ years of post-collegiate experience creating frameworks and test scripts for Cypress. The successful candidate will also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills to help train their teammates in the setup and use of Cypress. Design, develop, support, deploy and/or test advanced technology solutions that are high-quality, innovative, efficient, creative, scalable, adaptable, dynamic, fully performing and comply with all standards and best practices in support of business and Client outcomes and objectives. Work independently and apply advanced engineering skills, tools, practices, and techniques to all deliverables. Exhibits advanced understanding of core engineering concepts such as development, testing, source control, security, performance, data, DevSecOps, system administration, agile planning, and focus on learning more about these domains. Ability to focus on the task at hand, follow through on the prescribed plan with the ability to be flexible and think under pressure. Highly motivated team player with a strong desire to learn, grow, and continuously improve. Some of the tools and technologies used on this team are Postman, JavaScript, Cypress and other standard tools (Jira, Miro).
Preferred Skills
1. Proficiency in Cypress Test Automation is essential.
2. Proven ability to apply advanced testing skills, tools/frameworks, techniques, processes, and principles to software solutions in support of defect management, automation, diagnosis, and reporting in a simple production environment; writes and executes test plans.
3. Ability to sign off on features and validate vulnerability fixes.
4. Ability to write functional specifications.
5. Technically minded problem solver.
6. Thrives in a fast-paced and Client Centric, collaborative working environment.
7. Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
Responsibilities
1. Create Test Automation scripts that allow us to confidently deliver new functionality to our Clients.
2. Scope of automation testing will consist of, but not limited to, functional, systems integration, and Client integration tests.
3. This position will require very close partnership with agile team members to ensure quality products are released to our Clients.
4. Develop leading software verification (testing) plans and quality assurance procedures.
5. Approve large features and validate vulnerability fixes.
6. Effectively mentor other test automation engineers.
