We are currently accepting applications for a Senior Bartender to join our existing team.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate the Till system effectively.
2. Greet all guests with a smile, eye contact, and a greeting if appropriate.
3. Maintain your station in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
4. Carry out mise en place for service, ensuring it is sufficient to allow for the required standard of service, i.e. setting tables, stocking stations, preparing tea/coffee, etc.
5. Correctly clear, polish, and store crockery, cutlery, and glassware to minimize breakages and loss while maintaining standards.
6. Take orders to the Heritage standard maximizing and promoting sales by recommending products where appropriate.
7. Promote a helpful and professional image to clients, giving full cooperation to any client requiring assistance with a prompt caring and helpful attitude.
8. Anticipate client needs to enhance quality service and client satisfaction.
9. Cooperate with colleagues requiring assistance in a prompt caring and helpful manner and be flexible in assisting around the hotel in response to business and client needs.
10. Maintain regular and effective communication within your team and at all levels by attending briefing sessions when required.
11. Have knowledge of wines, spirits, and menu items.
12. Handle guest complaints discreetly, notifying the Head of Department or the Food & Beverage Director.
13. Have complete knowledge of the Heritage and the products and services it offers.
14. Maintain the cleaning program in operation.
15. Ensure full knowledge of all hotel facilities including opening and closing times and promote these facilities at every opportunity.
16. Familiarize yourself with your departmental SOP (Standards of Procedure Manual) which is available from your Department Head.
17. Attend and support hotel and departmental meetings as requested.
18. Be fully familiar with the complaints procedure and ensure complaints are dealt with courteously and sympathetically, reporting to the Duty Manager if necessary.
19. Work towards achieving high hotel inspection results.
20. Recognize that flexibility of employees is fundamental to the Hotel's ongoing progress.
