About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team for a social housing development project in County Louth, Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with some experience in the industry to gain hands-on experience working on a high-profile project.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
* Support the procurement process by helping source materials and subcontractors.
* Conduct site visits and assist in monitoring project progress in relation to cost control.
* Help prepare interim valuations and monitor payments.
* Assist with contract administration, including change orders and variations.
* Provide general support to senior Quantity Surveyors and the project team.
* Contribute to cost reporting and project forecasting.
* Assist with the preparation of final accounts and reports.
* Support the team in ensuring compliance with relevant construction regulations and health and safety requirements.
Requirements
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
* 0-2 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally in residential or social housing projects (though recent graduates are welcome to apply).
* Strong understanding of construction processes, contract administration, and cost management.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in relevant software such as CostX or Cubit being a plus.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
