Position Overview: The Head of Talent Acquisition & Recruitment will lead the organisation's strategic approach to workforce planning, talent attraction, and hiring.
This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to support the organisation's continued growth, ensuring the attraction, hiring, and retention of high-calibre professionals both domestically and internationally, dedicated to providing quality care in children's residential services.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Workforce Planning Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to meet the current and future hiring needs of the organisation.
Lead workforce planning efforts in collaboration with operational and HR teams, ensuring staffing levels align with service demands.
Provide insights on talent market trends, recruitment best practices, and workforce analytics to inform decision-making.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding Drive innovative and proactive sourcing strategies to attract skilled professionals in the children's residential care sector.
Enhance the employer brand by developing and promoting an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that attracts top talent by working collaboratively with our Head of brand.
Establish strong relationships with educational institutions, professional networks, and industry bodies to build a sustainable talent pipeline.
Oversee the design and execution of recruitment marketing campaigns to enhance visibility and engagement.
Recruitment Operations & Process Optimisation Ensure a best-in-class recruitment process, from job design and advertising to candidate selection and onboarding.
Implement recruitment technologies and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to enhance efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Develop key recruitment metrics and reporting tools to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Lead and mentor the recruitment team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Compliance Management Partner with hiring managers to ensure a deep understanding of staffing needs and the development of competency-based job descriptions.
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and safeguarding policies.
Drive initiatives around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to support a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Retention & Talent Development Collaborate with HR and operations teams to enhance retention strategies and support career progression initiatives.
Analyse employee turnover and exit interview data to implement retention-focused recruitment strategies.
Support the development of internal mobility programmes to promote career growth within the organisation.
Person Specification Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven experience in a senior talent acquisition or recruitment leadership role, preferably within the health, social care, or residential care sectors.
Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, workforce planning, and employer branding strategies.
Experience managing high-volume recruitment in a fast-growing organisation.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
Proficiency in using recruitment software and analytics to drive decision-making.
Deep understanding of employment law, safeguarding regulations, and compliance requirements in Ireland.
