The Role
PE Global are recruiting for an Employee Relations Specialist for our biopharmaceutical client based in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin. This is an initial 12-month contract role. Hybrid working options.
Job Responsibilities
* Management and oversight of all people investigations at the site.
* Carry out investigations into any formal grievances raised by staff, including bullying, harassment, discrimination etc.
* Manage all Code of Conduct compliant investigations working closely with the global Staff Relations teams and legal teams.
* Respond to any legal letters received from external lawyers raising issues or complaints on behalf of Amgen staff.
* Management of all disciplinary investigations including establishing investigating teams and disciplinary committee and ensuring all processes and documentation are compliant and in line with legal procedures.
* Act as a key advisor to leaders on correct process and procedures for dealing with grievance and disciplinary investigations.
* Management of any subsequent appeals processes.
* Union Relations - Coordination of union meetings and action taking.
* Develop and maintain all company policies and procedures relating to these matters.
* Partner with external legal counsel and Amgen legal team on any complex cases requiring escalation.
* Partner with Occupational Health on management of long term absence or LOA cases.
* Work with company insurer on applications for long term disability.
* Act as advisor to leaders on performance management cases and the establishment of formal PIPs.
* Advisor on any GDPR or Data Privacy related questions arising from business leaders or the security team or others who manage data systems, access systems or CCTV systems at ADL.
* Any other activities as directed by HRBP team and Assoc Dir Human resources for ADL.
* Data Analytics/Metrics and CI Champion.
Education & Experience
* University Degree in Human Resources, Law, Business, or similar degree.
* Experience in HR in the areas of employment law, HR policies and procedures, managing investigations.
* Previous experience in supporting formal investigations at a site level.
* Previous experience of developing HR policies in line with changes to employment law.
* Understanding of working in a unionized environment.
* The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge or the equivalent.
* In depth knowledge of HR industry practices and employment legislation.
* Business acumen and subject matter expertise.
