So, join our Global Risk Team team and feel like you’re part of something bigger.About your teamGlobal Risk: The risk team in Fidelity covers the management oversight of Fidelity’s risk profile including key risk frameworks, policies and procedures and oversight and challenge processes. The team partner with the businesses to ensure Fidelity manages its risk profile within defined risk appetite. The team is circa 120-strong, and growing, covering all facets of risk management including enterprise, investment, operational, financial, and ESG risk.Enterprise Risk Management Function:The ERM function is lead by the Head of Enterprise Risk and the primary purpose of ERM is to ensure that the business is managing risk within its agreed risk appetite, and in accordance with the associated ERM Framework. The ERM function is also responsible for capital management, 2nd line oversight of strategic and financial risks, risk regulatory reporting, risk appetite, risk culture and the ERM framework. It also acts as the oversight function for model risk and EUC Risk. The team is currently 35+ strong and is being invested in further to strengthen the function.About your role Your role will support the design of enhancements to enterprise risk management frameworks. This will require you to build a strong understanding the current frameworks, data sources and processes, teams involved, considering best practices and designing appropriate changes to data collection, process or requirements to both improve better risk management practices and also to meet evolving regulatory expectations. You will take the lead or support other ERM related projects or initiatives. Naturally, you'll actively engage and manage and build strong working relationships with various stakeholders.Your role will also support global policy governance and EUC Risk Oversight Activities. You will need to work in conjunction with many teams, including Investment, Operational and Technology teams globally to strengthen the controls and standards around the use and development of EUC Applications and Global and local policies. Strong communications skills are essential.Technical skills (Excel) and a sound understanding of the software development lifecycle are preferred for this role. Although you will not be expected to develop or remediate EUCs, you will still be required to work closely with the business teams to understand how their EUCs are used operationally and draft technical documentation accordingly. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport or lead projects to define and plan the implementing of enhancements to the enterprise risk management frameworks.Working with other 1st and 2nd line teams to define and enhance the global and local policies in line with the Global Documentation StandardSupport enterprise risk management and policy related governance Committees and ForumsSupport the development of the risk appetite, risk culture and risk reporting processesProvide expert support and guidance to all stakeholdersEstablish and maintain highly effective working relationships with all key internal stakeholdersIdentify areas where control standards can be improved. Provide guidance and recommendations to support long term risk reduction and drive efficiency efforts.Conducting reviews of EUC’s and supporting documentation, and provide recommendations for improvements to Business OwnersBecome familiar with enterprise architecture and understand the relationship with EUCs in use.Responding to and resolving Business queries.About youStrong business analysis skills with a practical and realistic mindset.Proven consultancy and communicating skills and the ability to work with individuals across all levels of the organisation.Knowledge of the investment management or wider financial services industry preferred.Experience with process definition and data mapping.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on mentality.Ability to organise, prioritise and plan own work with a strong desire to make things happen.Sound knowledge of the software development lifecycle and previous experience writing technical documentation.Strong written and communication skills essentialExperience drafting policies preferredPrevious experience in the development and management of EUCsExperience with risk frameworks across a large financial services organisationFeel rewardedFor starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package.
