Job Description:
Ambitious and organized self-starter sought for Finance Manager position in Amazon Logistics (AMZL) headquarters in Tokyo.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide analytical support to optimize dynamic and rapidly growing Amazon logistic network.
* Optimize financial performance and drive improvements on customer experience.
* Lead business planning, analyze financial and operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and propose solutions.
Duties:
1. Prepare Amazon Logistics business planning and forecasting.
2. Ensure excellent financial controllership over the Amazon Logistics financials, including month end close.
3. Maintain data integrity and periodically audit key transactional data.
4. Communicate financial performance to business partners and corporate finance team.
5. Develop and implement policies guiding business team in improving and optimizing processes.
6. Partner with Amazon Logistics Japan team to lead cost initiatives, including identifying and analyzing new opportunities.
7. Collaborate with Procurement Japan and Engineering teams to reduce shipping supply costs, exploring innovative packaging means and driving initiative roll-outs.
Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree or higher.
* 7+ years of relevant experience in analysis and reporting financial results.
* Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical expertise delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, as well as data interpretation of business impact and results.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
* Business partnership with senior stakeholders, team management experience, and business-level English skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* MBA or other advanced degree and/or professional certification, combined with relevant experience.
* Ability to build trust, influence, and guide senior management and direct/indirect business owners.
* Advanced problem-solving, root cause analysis, and communication skills.
* Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and strong business sense, with a proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions.
* Experience working with large-scale data and reporting tools, as well as other financial systems.
* Previous experience in Logistics, Manufacturing, or Transportation industry; proven success in people management; and fluency in Japanese.
