Our client, one of Ireland’s leading contractors, requires a Project Manager to begin working on construction projects in the Cork City area.
The ideal candidate will have some experience working in Project Manager roles and will be looking to develop their career.
Your duties will include:
1. Providing advice on the management of projects
2. Organising the various professional people working on a project
3. Carrying out risk assessments
4. Making sure that all the aims of the project are met
5. Making sure the quality standards are met
6. Using IT systems to keep track of people and progress
7. Monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained
8. Overseeing the accounting, costing and billing to ensure the project is on budget
9. Agreeing programme and delivering the project in accordance with same
10. Ensuring an efficient construction site
11. Delivering projects with the highest quality
12. Working with the Health & Safety Department to ensure safe construction at all times
Requirements:
1. Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
2. At least 2 years’ experience working for main building contractors in Ireland or the UK.
3. Must be able to manage a large team.
4. Ensure that the project progresses on schedule.
