Meetings and Events Sales Executive
We are currently recruiting for a dynamic Meetings and Events Sales Executive to join our team at a 4* Hotel in Cork City.
Scope of Position
The Meetings and Events Sales Executive will work closely with the hotel's Sales and Marketing Director to maximise revenue from food & beverage, wedding/event and conference/meeting sales.
The successful candidate will be pro-active and energetic, with a proven track record in achieving sales targets and the ability to execute a focussed sales plan.
Main Responsibilities
* Maximise revenue through selling events/conference rooms, allowing for turnover
* Monitor and chase provisional bookings, ensuring contracts are signed within a reasonable timeframe
* Meet clients on arrival and handover to operations team
* Accurately post charges on accounts during the working week
Sales and Marketing
* Monitor payments, billing, and pre-payments
* Share feedback with hotel management team
* Attend exhibitions, corporate events, consumer shows, and client meetings as requested
* Input into F&B and Meetings budget
* Conduct regular competitive analysis of key competitors
Administrative Tasks
* Input into quarterly activity plans
* Conduct weekly promotional activity to businesses in locality
* Assist with all F&B and M&E advertising
* Assist with print material adhering to brand guidelines
* Post on social media and monitor engagement metrics
