Role Description:
We are looking to recruit a career-minded Senior level Cost Consultant (Quantity Surveyor) to support our dynamic Cost and Commercial team in Dublin. With a focus on supporting our Global Tech clients, you will work as part of an established team on fast-paced data centre accounts, building significant data centre experience while facing challenging client aspirations and delivering exceptional client outcomes.
Role Accountabilities:
1. Work well alone within established financial systems to monitor and review project costs and variances to control cost variables.
2. Deliver/assist with significant components of cost management assignments, ensuring the delivery of the required scope of work within set deadlines.
3. Understand and comply with business risk and present any project concerns or issues to senior managers to ensure the project is not adversely impacted.
4. Provide advice to colleagues on fundamentals of risk management, ensuring adherence to the organisation's risk and compliance processes.
5. Examine and review a range of data to collate trends and prepare documentation such as delivery plans, providing advice and making recommendations to support cost and commercial management decision-making.
6. Use own knowledge and experience to review and analyse existing cost and commercial management processes and policies, sharing knowledge and taking an active involvement in service improvement and innovation.
7. Interact with internal and external customers, applying technical knowledge to complete complex, professional-level tasks in order to ensure projects/programmes can be delivered to meet customer expectations.
8. Provide specialist technical advice and guidance within the area, supporting others with cost management queries and activity.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Preferably data centre experience.
2. Experience in delivering analysis and insights.
3. Technical knowledge of specialised field, including construction processes and cost and commercial management.
4. Demonstration of self-management and prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to influence stakeholders and third parties.
6. Capable of taking a project through from inception to completion.
7. A keen interest in and ability to recognise, react to and talk with authority on megatrends such as digitisation and sustainability.
8. BSc (Hons) or equivalent.
9. Relevant professional qualification (e.g. RICS / SCSI) desirable.
