Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they run in optimal condition.
2. Day to day running repairs.
3. Carrying out monthly inspections.
4. Preparing for CVRT testing.
5. Diagnosing faults and malfunctions.
6. Performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on buses and other transportation vehicles.
7. Overhauls or assists in rebuilding engines, differentials, brake systems, and other major components.
8. Plans and implements a program of scheduled preventative maintenance for buses.
The Ideal candidate will have:
1. A HGV Mechanic qualification.
2. HGV experience - Bus & Coach experience preferred.
3. Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles.
4. A HGV License - Bus License preferred.
5. A high level of technical knowledge.
6. Good communication skills, and proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Experience working with:
1. Diagnostic systems.
2. Gear boxes.
3. ABS systems.
4. Air Conditioning systems.
5. Electric installations.
6. Door systems.
Experience:
1. Mechanic: 2 years - Preferably working with Buses & Trucks.
2. Diagnosis: 1 year - Preferred.
3. HGV: 1 year - Preferred.
Licence/Certification:
1. Suitable qualifications - Required.
2. Relevant Licences - Required.
