PRODUCTION SHIFT MANAGER
Shift Managers are responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and coordination of Production employees. The Shift Manager will manage shift employees to achieve key business objectives of product quality, order fulfilment, OEE, labour efficiency, health and safety, and budget control. The Shift Manager will also act as cover in the absence of the Plant manager and support the Plant Manager in Operations as appropriate.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND KPIs
Shift Management
1. Lead the Shift Team to achieve production targets/KPIs
2. Ensure the highest standards of product quality, integrity, and hygiene
3. Maintain excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping Practice
4. Monitor and control costs
5. Ensure the safe working practices and conduct of the team, contractors, and visitors
6. Ensure that team are properly trained and managed to work in a safe, quality-conscious, and effective way
7. Maintain positive working relationships and ensure effective communication at all levels
8. Ensure all work areas and equipment within your control are regularly and properly maintained to deliver optimum performance
9. Drive initiatives to maximise employee contribution and drive improvements in product quality and process/system efficiencies
10. Liaise with QA & QC, logistics, technical, and maintenance teams to achieve optimum results
11. Responsible for Internal Controls as assigned to you by the Internal Controller
12. Interface with HR in relation to employee performance/development and any employee relations issues
13. Update relevant HR systems as required
General Management
1. The Shift Manager will be expected to cover for the Production Manager when absent and support the Production Manager in other areas of production
2. Contribute to the overall department performance plan in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation, and Environment
3. Drive correct usage, maintenance, and development of all production systems

Professional EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
1. 2+ years experience in a management/supervisory role in the food manufacturing Industry is required
2. Third level qualification in a related field is desirable
3. SAP/MES/SCADA experience highly desirable
4. A strong understanding of Microsoft Office is required
5. Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills
