We are seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join our team on a large-scale road scheme in Roscommon. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in road and pavement projects to play a key role in delivering a major infrastructure development.
As our successful candidate you will be competent in the following areas:
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Site Agent in managing daily site operations, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to the highest standards.
* Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, and site activities in line with the project programme.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards on-site.
* Monitor project progress, including earthworks, drainage, pavements, and surfacing activities.
* Manage resources effectively, including plant, materials, and personnel.
* Liaise with engineers, clients, and stakeholders to maintain effective communication and project coordination.
* Assist in the preparation of reports, progress updates, and documentation as required.
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in road construction, pavement, or similar infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of earthworks, pavement construction, and quality standards.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project) is desirable.
* Full driving license required.
