The Powerscourt Hotel, Resort & Spa is currently recruiting for an Executive Sous Chef who is highly motivated and well-organised.
About the Role
* Assist in the design and delivery of new menu concepts which reflect customer demand
* Manage and oversee the smooth running of the day-to-day operation in the kitchen
* Maintain consistently high standards and quality across all areas of the food operation
* Understand the budget and work to the agreed targets on food cost, labour hours, sundries and wastage
* Recruitment, training and retention of team members
* Management of the kitchen payroll on a weekly and monthly basis
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Previous experience in a similar senior role within a 5* property
* A creative flair and passion for cooking with local, fresh, seasonal and quality ingredients
* Management and organisational skills are essential
* Strong banqueting experience is desirable
* HACCP Qualification to Management level
* Experience in managing a diverse and dynamic team
* A progressive attitude towards training, developing and motivating the team
* An ability to lead by example within a fast-paced kitchen environment
