Job Title: Theatre Nurse
About the Role
UPMC Aut Even Hospital is seeking a skilled Theatre Nurse to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The successful candidate will work as an integral member of the Nursing and Multidisciplinary team in the operating theatre suite/endoscopy suite, providing evidence-based care to patients undergoing surgery.
We offer a range of services, including general medicine, respiratory care, elderly care, gastroenterology, cardiology, general surgery, ophthalmology, gynaecology, ENT, orthopaedics, plastics, urology, vascular surgery, and oral surgery.
The role may involve working in Anaesthetics, Scrub, Circulating, Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), or Endoscopy within your scope of practice.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Practice according to the Code of Professional Conduct and adhere to Nursing Board guidelines.
2. Work within your scope of practice and maintain high standards of professional behaviour.
3. Provide efficient and highly professional nursing care to all patients.
4. Maintain patient confidentiality and dignity at all times.
5. Assume responsibility for ward management in the absence of CNM/CNM II.
Requirements
* Registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses with NMBI or entitled to be so registered.
* Basic Life Support Training.
* 2 years' Theatre Nursing experience.
* A relevant Theatre qualification is advantageous.
