Exciting Opportunity: Mechanical Utilities Engineer (12-Month Contract)
Location: Sligo, Ireland (On-Site)
Are you ready to take on a rewarding challenge in a dynamic environment? We're seeking a Mechanical Utilities Engineer to join our client's team in Sligo! This is your chance to work on critical engineering projects, drive process improvements, and contribute to a site operating in a fast-paced, highly regulated cGMP environment.
Responsibilities
1. Manage and execute engineering projects while implementing process improvements.
2. Ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing and utility equipment through preventative and demand maintenance.
3. Collaborate with the Site Engineering Services Manager to set performance goals and schedules.
4. Oversee internal and external plant projects, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with engineering standards.
5. Drive cost-saving initiatives, prepare CAPEX requests, and develop monthly engineering metrics.
6. Supervise contractors, negotiate costs, and maintain high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
1. Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related discipline.
2. 5+ years of experience in facility/utility engineering (cGMP experience preferred).
3. Hands-on expertise in chilled water systems, boilers, compressed air, potable water, building management systems, and environmental systems.
4. Proven track record in managing budgets and optimizing manufacturing/utility machinery.
5. Strong problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
