Purpose of the Role:
The post holder Clinical Nurse Educator Facilitator (CNEF) will work as part of the Spinal team to manage the clinical educational needs of staff and students within the Spinal service.
Essential Criteria:
1. Eligible applicants must be registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] or entitled to be so registered.
2. Applicants must have at least 5 years post registration experience, including 2 years in the speciality or related area.
3. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
4. They must possess a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
Annual Registration:
1. On appointment, practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann).
2. They must confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
Health:
1. Candidates for this post must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office.
2. They must be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Character:
1. Candidates for this post must be of good character.
