Section Manager
We are currently recruiting a Section Manager to join a leading construction team in Co. Dublin.
This exciting opportunity is perfect for a motivated, experienced professional with a background in large-scale residential construction. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating works packages, managing subcontractors, and overseeing construction teams to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Site Manager in coordinating works packages and programming.
2. Ensure compliance with building regulations.
3. Oversee specific building works packages including frame, envelope, and site development/groundworks.
4. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and the construction team.
5. Provide quality oversight and ensure the accurate interpretation of design detailing and implementation.
6. Lead engineering oversight and manage the engineering team responsible for setting out the works.
7. Collaborate with the Safety Officer to ensure best safety practices are implemented on site.
8. Manage site logistics and coordinate the installation of utilities.
The Ideal Candidate:
9. Degree/Higher Diploma qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
10. A minimum of 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
11. Strong background in large-scale residential construction, particularly apartment/house building.
12. Excellent working knowledge of building regulations and certification standards.
13. Proven ability to meet demanding time and quality targets.
14. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
15. Methodical, detail-oriented, and accurate.
16. Ability to work effectively with people at all levels and in a team environment.
17. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
18. Capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
19. Willingness to take responsibility for completing designated tasks.
