Senior Medical Scientist - National Laboratory Information System
Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE Technology and Transformation service, is recruiting for a number of highly experienced Medical Scientists to support the deployment and national roll-out of the National Medical Laboratory Information System (MedLIS) across multiple hospital sites over a period of 4-5 years.
This role allows for remote/hybrid working, with successful candidates required to attend on-site meetings in Dublin 1 day per fortnight, as well as being available to work on HSE Hospital Sites pre/during/post Go-Live.
Opportunities exist for full and part-time assignments.
This role will require engagement beyond traditional laboratory benchwork, focusing on the deployment and integration of cutting-edge technology to enhance laboratory operations.
Within the role, you will collaborate with Partner Organisations, IT specialists, Software Developers, other Technology & Transformation Teams, and Clinical Laboratory Teams to deploy MedLIS and support integration with laboratory workflows.
You will leverage your expertise in clinical laboratory processes to provide critical input on system functionality, customisation, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with the MedLIS project team to understand and define requirements based on laboratory processes and workflows.
2. Provide technical and clinical expertise to ensure accurate discipline level build and customisation.
3. Assist in the design and execution of testing and system validation to ensure functional and regulatory compliance.
4. Act as a liaison between the project team and laboratory to ensure smooth system integration and adoption.
5. Troubleshoot system issues, gather user feedback, and collaborate with the development team to implement necessary improvements.
Interested candidates should have:
1. A recognised qualification as a Medical Scientist and CORU registration.
2. A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, ideally in Histopathology & Microbiology.
