We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the team in our Ballymount Office.
Reports to: Facilities Division Manager
Responsibilities:
* Oversee Suppliers and Service Providers activities ensuring they meet contracted obligations in a safe, effective and efficient manner and seek opportunities for improvement.
* Assist with the preparation and control of department and facility related operational budgets.
* Be available as part of after-hours Facilities Emergency Contact rota.
* Act as go-to person in relation to all facilities/project/fit out/crisis management activities on site ensuring timely solutions and identification and removal of potential roadblocks.
* Develop a close working relationship with client key stakeholders and all facilities management vendors to ensure that they fully understand the client culture and become partners in delivering a high-quality service.
* Address minor technical repairs and be the first point of contact relating to all building issues including out of hours escalations.
* Point of contact for client to log issues.
* Monitor PPM schedules, O&M's, warranties, Task System, Asset & Life Cycle Registers.
* Responsible for Health & Safety during events, including contractor supervision, reviewing of H&S documentation.
* Work closely with the Health & Safety Manager preparing Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS).
* Proactively manage spend and budget in line with Winthrop Engineering policies and procedures including the processing of PO's, costing variations, invoices, budgets.
* Any other duties that may be required by the Facilities Division Manager.
Requirements:
Skills, qualification & experience:
* Facilities Management, Property Management, Construction Management or similar qualification desired, but not required.
* Engineering Degree / Trades background with previous experience of working within a facilities/maintenance/property/construction management environment is an advantage.
* Flexibility to work outside of normal hours if required.
* Excellent interpersonal skills - the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with internal stakeholders, external contractors and service providers.
* Excellent organisational skills, combined with ability to prioritise competing demands and methodical approach to problem solving.
* High attention to accuracy and detail.
* Ability to use own initiative and possess an adaptable, highly organised and flexible approach to work.
* Solution orientated with the ability to work under pressure and resolve business critical issues that may arise.
* Proven experience in the management of multiple service providers within the hard services disciplines.
* Experienced in financial management and budgeting, while identifying cost savings/avoidance.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
* An excellent communicator including presentation and negotiation skills.
* Able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
* Driven to meet deadlines, manage time effectively and work in a pressurized fast-paced environment.
* Strong written and verbal English skills.
