This position is centred around providing engineering support for both new and existing products as they transition into volume manufacturing with external partners. The role involves problem-solving production challenges, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and playing an active part in ongoing product development. Occasional travel to contract manufacturing facilities will be expected.Key Responsibilities:Lead the introduction of new products into production environments, ensuring all deliverables meet RoHS, REACH, UL, and EN compliance requirements.Create detailed test processes, assembly documentation, and custom test equipment.Provide engineering support for improvements and modifications to existing product lines.Facilitate product transfers between manufacturing sites or regions.Resolve production-related issues in line with Agile/Kanban workflows — including component end-of-life challenges and reliability concerns.Recommend and qualify alternative components based on compliance, availability, or cost drivers.Produce schematics and assist with the design of test equipment and fixtures.Carry out supplier audits to verify regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., UL294 certification).Identify opportunities for cost reduction across product design or manufacturing processes.Work closely with Design Engineering teams to ensure manufacturability (DFM/DFT best practices).Troubleshoot and resolve field-return or production-line issues related to product functionality (analog/digital).Support QA in managing product or safety-related escalations.Partner with Supply Chain teams to maintain continuity of production and avoid component shortages.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Senior Electronics Engineer or similar role.Degree-qualified in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.Proven background supporting new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up in a manufacturing setting.Strong hands-on troubleshooting ability with production test equipment and processes.Experience in First Article Inspections (FAI) and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.Familiarity with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and alternative component selection.Working knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks: RoHS, REACH, CMRT, TSCA.Exposure to ISO 9001 standards is advantageous.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills in both analog and digital electronics.Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.Flexibility to travel occasionally to manufacturing partners or suppliers.What We Offer:A technically hands-on role within a collaborative R&D and manufacturing environment.Exposure to a diverse range of product development, compliance, and manufacturing projects.Competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package.Hybrid working model with flexibility and autonomy.If your skills and experience align with this opportunity — and you’re seeking a long-term role with a focus on manufacturing, product development, and engineering problem-solving — we’d love to connect.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and ManufacturingIndustries: Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing, Electrical Equipment Manufacturing, and Security and Investigations
