ABOUT THE JOB: The Business Application Lead will play a critical role in analysing business requirements to support the development and improvement of organisational applications.
The role will help to manage and shape the future technology enhancements that will align with the business goals.
This position involves gathering and understanding business needs, defining the current state, and identifying future states to deliver effective solutions.
The individual will guide application concepts from identification through feasibility assessment and work collaboratively with business managers and technical architecture teams to implement these solutions to support the business.
YOUR JOB your tasks will include: Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the business to gather, understand and document business requirements.
Analyse current business processes and application usage to define the "as-is" state.
Develop and articulate the "to-be" state, outlining opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Translate business requirements into clear concepts, scope, and technical specifications which evaluate the feasibility, advantages, and challenges of proposed solutions.
Present assessments and proposed solutions to both business and technical audiences through effective communication to the appropriate group.
Work closely with the business, architecture, and other technology teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of solutions from testing through to deployment.
Document and manage new business processes that align with the delivery of the solution.
Serve as a liaison between business teams and other teams, ensuring effective communication of requirements and objectives.
Maintain a project pipeline report for new initiatives in progress or pending status.
Conducting Project Management processes including project governance, managing project spend within approved budget, risk and issue management.
Actively developing key relationships with business and technical stakeholders to ensure that projects are run effectively, and day-to-day activities align to stakeholders expectations.
Proactive identification of areas of the business that need continuous improvement and development of pipeline planning for areas of the business.
YOUR PROFILE your knowledge, skills and experience include: Bachelors degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in Software development life cycle (SDLC), Project Management principles and methodologies.
Experience with writing business cases and ability to clearly articulate the value proposition for any given project.
Experience in assessing the feasibility of proposed solutions Familiarity with application development processes and system integration.
High level of experience with stakeholder coordination and management.
Strong ability to understand business processes and translate them into actionable requirements.
Proficient in analysing and documenting both current and future state processes.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to address diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration between business and technical teams.
The ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong communication channels with other teams.

Additional Information: This is a permanent contract subject to a six-month probationary period.
This role is based in our Head Office in Swords, Co. Dublin.
