We are excited to be searching for our next superstar General Manager for our next Flagship opening in Dublin!
A little bit about the role:
No two days are ever the same here at Sandbox VR and this role is no different.
Initially responsible for driving the opening of the venue, you will work closely with our senior team to ensure our standards of excellence are applied to every aspect of the venue and recruitment of the opening team.
Once open you will be responsible for the entire Venue, including directing and coordinating operations, financial management, compliance with building regulations, and managing the Team, with a strong focus on people development and building a thriving, high-performance culture.
Some areas you will oversee:
1. Providing leadership to the AGM and 2 Duty Managers, as well as the wider team of Leads, Hosts, and Guides.
2. Overseeing rota scheduling, planning for both day-to-day operations and corporate events in collaboration with Business Development.
3. Directing operational procedures to maximise guest experience, striving for an exceptional, five-star level of service and entertainment for all guests, and leading initiatives to improve the venue’s social media ratings.
4. Championing the venue’s health and safety, ensuring compliance, providing training, conducting risk assessments, and acting as a primary first aider during shifts.
5. Collaborating closely with People and Culture on the employee life cycle, employee relations, and team development, positively impacting the venue's culture.
6. Focusing on procurement, building relationships with suppliers and contractors, and managing stock.
7. Striving for improvement in all areas of the business, including people management, financial performance, health and safety, and service standards.
A little bit about you:
1. Experience opening a venue is highly advantageous.
2. You will be team-focused, with a passion for people development, instilling high service standards, and attention to detail in delivering outstanding Guest Experiences.
3. You will be passionate about leading a team to create unforgettable moments and memories for every guest.
4. You will have an eye for excellence and be experienced in driving service excellence.
5. You remain positive under pressure and proactive during downtime.
6. You will be comfortable working in a startup-to-scale-up environment and will build structure when needed.
