What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions. So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team supports our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, and taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day-to-day life.
Where You Would Work: Donegal Residential Services, Donegal Town
Praxis Care is developing a new service outside of Donegal Town to provide bespoke residential care to one service user with a diagnosis of mild to moderate Intellectual disability, Autism, and Behaviors that challenge. In Praxis Care, we strive to ensure that this service is tailored to the individual's needs with a person-centered approach.
Praxis Care provides a dedicated key working team who are there to support the resident in achieving their goals, dreams, and aspirations. Resident rights and choice are promoted within the service with the residents being actively involved in the home and community. Staff must practice the values of dignity and respect at all times.
Staff are provided with all mandatory training along with scheme-specific training to ensure that staff have the knowledge and skill base required to support the resident. The rota is based on the needs of the residents and therefore the shift pattern is designed to support the same.

Salary Details:
Full Time, Part Time and Relief Contracts available
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on qualification/experience. When the role requires sleep-in duties, a minimum additional payment of €90.40 per night applies.
