The main purpose of the job is to co-ordinate the incoming (receiving, GRNing and merchandising) of all stock for the business, as well as maintaining optimum stock levels and range for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Checking reports
* Verifying stock costs
* Validating stock variances
* Clearing negative stock
* Maintaining bin locations
* Investigating bad risk stock
* Conducting stock takes
* Running no stock, no demand reports
* Generating deletion reports
* Ensuring existing stock is properly binned
* Monitoring stock performance
* Providing variance data to operators
* Supplying operators with stock variance data on a monthly basis
Requirements:
Grade 12 certificate
Three years of experience in stock control or alternatively
Certificate in Retailing (NQF 5)
Certificate in Retail Operations Management (NQF 5)
If no certificate, at least three of the following skills programmes:
Explain factors impacting the bottom line of a W&R unit
Supervising loss control measures implementation
Supervising stock counts
Replenishing stock in a retail business
Managing stock holding procedures in a wholesale and retail outlet
Picking stock in a distribution centre
Moving, packing and maintaining stock
Receiving stock into a distribution centre
Counting stock for a stock-take
Dispatching stock from a distribution centre
