About the Role
As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a Person in Charge based in Swinford, Co. Mayo.
Purpose and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to those who use Orchard Community Care services, ensuring compliance with Government and Health Service Executive (HSE) Policy.
The Manager will work autonomously and with initiative, making decisions that align with our values.
The role is supernumerary and attracts an allowance and bonus option.
Key Criteria
* A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in health or social care.
* A relevant degree (minimum level 7) in Social or Health Care and Level 6 Management qualification.
* A proven track record of managing a residential service that meets quality, regulatory/legislative requirements.
* A full current driving license with eligibility to drive in Ireland and access to a vehicle.
Service Delivery
The Person in Charge will:
* Take the lead on shift when on duty.
* Participate in direct care provision, following established care plans, protocols, and procedures.
* Assist in assessing individual needs and developing care plans.
* Implement and monitor care interventions.
Training & Development
The Person in Charge will:
* Assist in training new team members.
* Organise and facilitate training programs and workshops.
Compliance & Documentation
The Person in Charge will:
* Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, assessments, and records.
* Monitor team member documentation.
Quality Assurance
The Person in Charge will:
* Implement quality improvement initiatives.
* Conduct regular audits and checks.
Conditions of Work
This role requires a flexible approach to working hours and participation in the On-Call support system.
