Description
We are currently seeking a Trainee Contracts Supervisor to join our team in Cork.
About the Role
1. As a Trainee Contracts Supervisor, you will support your manager in efficiently and effectively managing the day-to-day operations of surfacing works and associated activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with planning, organizing, and managing site activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials according to contract specifications.
2. Conduct site inspections prior to material laying to ensure substrate condition meets requirements, determine quantities required, and place material orders.
3. Adhere to daily work schedules, ensuring adequate resources are available and maximized.
4. Share responsibility for site coordination, ensuring project schedule and contract requirements are met, including activities by employees and sub-contractors.
5. Arrange service and maintenance of plant and equipment, ensuring planned and routine maintenance is performed daily, and plant is stored safely.
6. Maintain sites in clean and tidy condition, completed to client satisfaction.
7. Promote effective relationships between the Company and clients, providing necessary information regarding project operation.
8. Support managers in staffing key roles with personnel capable of undertaking roles effectively, define roles clearly, review performance regularly, and motivate employees to achieve business and personal objectives.
9. Comply with relevant statutory provisions, take reasonable care for safety, health, and welfare, and ensure contracts comply with safety regulations and company policies.
10. Return health and safety documentation monthly and lead accident investigations in line with company procedure.
11. Follow company policy, procedures, and site rules.
Requirements
1. A willingness to learn within the construction industry.
2. A valid driving license.
3. Preferred but not essential:
* Experience working within the construction industry.
* Experience in using surveying equipment.
1. Computer literacy and working knowledge of applications like Excel, Outlook, and Word.
2. Ability to constructively solve problems in a fast-paced site environment.
