About the role
We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Senior Risk & Internal Controls Analyst to join our finance team on a fixed term basis for approximately 13 months, based flexibly in Europe.
As a key member of our global Leviat R&IC team, the purpose of this role is to support the R&IC Manager in defining Leviat-wide standards for R&IC management and facilitating/monitoring their execution in the regions.
In addition, the role will support the “OneCRH” approach in Leviat finance, acting as the intermediary and filter between CRH Risk & Internal Control and the Region/Country Finance Managers.
Main responsibilities
In this role you'll:
1. Maintain the Leviat Risk & Internal Controls framework in line with CRH (R&IC) guidance (based on COSO ERM standards).
2. Maintain the Leviat SOX Tier 1/2/3 documentation.
3. Support the definition of Internal Controls and Authorizations principles and standards in the UNICA project (global SAP 4/Hana roll out), including standard system reports.
4. Support SOX Business controls standardization for > 20 Leviat companies globally, which are documented with control objectives and SOx risks, frequency and the Global process owner.
5. Identify adequate new SAP system generated reports in co-operation with the SOX team Leviat and the corresponding external SAP consultant.
6. Test identified SAP reports during the User Acceptance Test Phase and report test results in project database JIRA.
7. Document training material / instructions on how to use SAP reports, as these will be used after SAP roll-out > 20 entities.
8. Upload control description in risk management tool (SOFY/KPMG) and explain the control to future control performers.
9. Monitor accurate control performance (control design walk through after first control performance).
10. Perform site visits and SOX & B/S reviews, to ensure adherence with Leviat and CRH (BP) policies.
11. Follow up on open items and support the regions during and after CRH Internal Audit site reviews.
Experience & qualifications
To be successful in this role you'll need:
12. A degree in Business Administration with a focus on Financial Accounting, or to be a Chartered Accountant.
13. Experience in auditing (within a Big 4 firm would be an advantage but is desirable).
14. To have SOX awareness and business risk management experience
15. A positive attitude and to be an open minded and accessible team player.
16. A systematic and structured work style.
17. Excellent analytical skills.
18. Developed IT skills incl. MS Office/Excel/Teams
19. SAP experience (highly desirable)
20. To be fluent in English + (German/French/Polish/Dutch language skills would be an advantage)
