Financial Accountant - 6 Month Contract

The Role:
The Financial Accountant will play a key role in the Finance department and will cover all operational areas of Finance including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Month-End and Year-End close, Banking, Intercompany, Corporate Reporting, Local Management reporting, Statutory Accounts and Audit.
* Support the Month-End close, Year-End close and Audit Support
* Oversee the day-to-day Finance activities e.g. Accounts Payable, Employee Expenses
* Maintain the General Ledger(s) and their Integrity
* Support the preparation of the Management Accounts
* Support the preparation of the Budgetary Reports
* Support and oversee the day-to-day Treasury requirements
* Support and oversee the different Corporate Credit Card programs and reconciliation of same
* Support the Month-end close and the Year-end close deadlines
* Ensure Corporate Reporting and Analysis is complete accurately and on-time
* Coordinate the month-end activities with our Global Shared Services Centre
* Coordinate the monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations for all Ledgers
* Support the Continuous Improvements month-end process in line with LEAN/Six Sigma principles
* Ensure Employee expenses are accurately recorded and paid on time (weekly)
* Ensure Accounts Receivable Invoices are posted accurately and on-time
* Oversee and liaise with other departments on day-today issues and queries
* Ensure Intercompany Invoices are accurately recorded and reconciled every month
* Coordinate the Quarterly Intercompany Netting Process with Corporate Finance and Affiliates
* Process payments to Employees
* Maintain an accurate and up to date General Ledger
* Ensure GL Integrity through accurate recording of data in all Ledgers in Oracle
* Coordinate the monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations for all Ledgers
* Review and Comparison of Euro and USD Ledgers
* Maintain an accurate set of Management Accounts
* Ensure Accounts provide analysis and comparison to Plan/Forecast
* Coordinate monthly Cost Centre Budget reports with Budget Owners
* Monitoring and checking of Bank Balances to ensure adequate funding is in place
Skills and Experience:
* Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or Degree (level 8) with relevant experience
* Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar type of role or an Audit role
* Broad experience of all Financial Accounting and Management Accounting
* Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word)
* Knowledge of ERP Systems (Oracle is an advantage)
* Experience of using on-line systems e.g. Banking Portals
* Very strong organisation skills
* Possess a 'can-do' attitude when faced with challenges
* Be comfortable working at different levels with the finance function
The Offer:
This role is being offered on a 6-month fixed term contract basis. Salary will depend on candidate skills & experience but expected to be approx. €55K-€65K per annum pro rata.
