We are currently recruiting an Operations Supervisor for a heritage attraction and venue in central Dublin that offers day tours and gala event space. This is a great opportunity to grow in hospitality operations, with full on-the-job training provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the safety and proper presentation of premises, as well as the functionality of all equipment.
* Guarantee the safety of all personnel, guests, and suppliers on site.
* Provide support to the General Manager.
* Lead and support the operations teams to ensure seamless daily operations.
* Assist the Welcome Desk Supervisor in ensuring the Welcome Desk team delivers a warm welcome to all visitors.
* Implement the Cash Handling policy effectively.
* Collaborate with the Welcome Desk Supervisor to prepare daily finance reports and conduct cash counts.
* Take charge of in-house events and act as Event Supervisor when required.
* Attend to minor maintenance issues that may arise.
* Work closely with the General Manager and other departments to implement policies and procedures correctly, develop new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed, and promote organizational values.
* Set a positive example and embody the organization's values.
* Address visitor queries or concerns in a pleasant manner.
* Motivate team members to perform at their best.
* Pursue opportunities to improve operations continuously.
* Occasionally cover operational duties such as Welcome Desk, Gift Shop, or Events as needed.
* Assume key holder responsibilities.
* Participate in mandatory training sessions (EPOS, First Aid, Fire Warden, Manual Handling).
* Avoidance of weekend work one month in four.
The Ideal Candidate
* A Hospitality/Tourism graduate with experience in hospitality operations (Duty Management/Front Office/Guest Relations/Events), or an experienced hospitality operations supervisor.
* An excellent communicator with both written and verbal skills, possessing a strong customer focus.
* A high level of attention to detail, along with good visual awareness and presentation skills.
* Proficiency in PC skills, including knowledge of MS Office and ability to quickly learn new systems.
* A flexible, innovative approach with keen analytical/problem-solving ability.
* Excellent work/time management and organisational skills, enabling them to work independently and support the wider team.
* A high level of integrity and trustworthiness when handling confidential information.
* A professional and approachable demeanor, interacting effectively with staff at all levels within the organisation.
