Production Technician Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Technician to join our dynamic team at a leading pharmaceutical company in Shannon, Co. Clare.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of production and packaging equipment in a regulated environment.
* Calibration & Setup: Perform calibration and changeovers for weight checkers and print/apply machines (e.g., Zebra ZT410/ZE500).
* Preventative Maintenance: Implement daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
* Performance Analysis: Analyze downtime, report findings, and continuously improve machine uptime and line efficiency.
* Risk & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with ISO and GMP standards.
* Repairs & Stock Control: Perform electro-mechanical repairs, maintain critical spare parts inventory, and oversee stock control.
* Validation & Implementation: Validate new equipment (FAT/IQ/OQ/PQ/SQ) and support cross-functional teams in designing and approving new product artwork.
* Facilities Management: Oversee company facilities and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring efficient service provider management.
* Training & Support: Train maintenance staff and machine operators, including evening/night shifts, and provide production support under tight deadlines.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Strong knowledge of automated packaging equipment and production environments.
* Experience with CAMs, gear motors, drives, pulleys, and vision systems.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting and optimizing machine performance.
* Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and reporting tools.
