Role: IT Operations Specialist (24x7 shift)

What is the Role:
IT Operations are responsible for the monitoring and escalation of all service incidents within AIB, as well as managing all batch processing (approx. 80,000 jobs daily) through IBM’s Tivoli Workload Scheduler. The role is to be part of a small team of 5 that participates in a rolling 24x7 shift structure and will report directly to the shift leader.
Key Accountabilities:
* Manage, monitor, and resolve/escalate all infrastructure alerts following AIB's Event management process.
* Manage all daily batch schedules, including implementing short-term batch schedule changes on the TWS platform.
* Liaise with AIB Service Management teams to ensure continuous improvement programs.
* Manage all multi-user incidents until resolution and keep the AIB management team informed at all times.
* Perform Mainframe IPLs, IMS bounces, and other Mainframe subsystem restarts.
What You Will Bring:
* Ability to work on a 24x7 shift team is a must.
* Experience in Batch Management and working knowledge of TWS (or similar software) for mainframe and distributed systems preferred.
* Good knowledge of JCL and IBM utility programs on the mainframe operating system preferred.
* Good knowledge of AIB services and the impacts of downtime on these services required.
* Previous experience of working to agreed SLAs and defined timelines required.
